Day 22: Barcelona Walking Tour, Shopping, Tapas and Flamenco *Eurotrip*
We woke up at 9am, which is
the latest that u have woken up on my holiday. It was great, as I needed the
rest. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed again!
We got ready slowly and then ate
breakfast downstairs in the kitchen. Had some chats with other girls sitting at
the table and found out what they have been up to.
We were then collected for the
walking tour by an Irish tour guide. He used to be an architect, but with the economy
in Europe that is in such a bad state, 90% of architects are sitting without
jobs. He also teaches English to make a living.
It was a very informative tour
and it’s a great way to get to know a city. We drank some water at this
fountain. They say that if you drink of the fountain you will return to
Barcelona. There are individual chairs instead of benches to prevent
homeless people from sleeping on it.
We ended at the Travel Bar after
the 2.5 hour tour and had some tapas and beer. Then believe if of not, but we
went to H&M to look for a leather jacket for my friend and ended up buying a
whole lot of other stuff. We really need it, I promise you! Hahaha!
Then we walked towards the hostel
and stopped for some tea/coffee and cake/ biscuits.
We got ready at the hostel and
then went to watch Flamenco. It was a lovely show and this lady could dance I
tell you! Got goosebumps! We then went to eat some tapas and drink sangria.
After that we found a bar called 'Bollocks' which is something my friend always
says, so we decided to go there for a few drink. A few mojitos and oyster shot
and we were well on our way. Hope the hangover is not that bad tomorrow!
