Breakfast at Tiffany's (Natalie's)

I've been been blessed with being surrounded with plenty of Pisces friends and family.  I am Pisces and so is my mom, dad and sister.  Then I have a further twelve friends that's Pisces too.  As you can imagine this month is usually quite costly for me, as it's hosting my own birthday party, attending all my friends and families birthday parties and buying all of them presents.  So I thought I should have a champagne breakfast at my house for my four closest girlfriends as a birthday present for them and I thought to add another fun element, why don't we all dress up with a Breakfast at Tiffany's theme!  Everyone was was super excited.  This was our inspiration to dress up:

Europe Doors - Picture Perfect

Remember my post about my doorporn collection of photos? Well I had to put these beautiful doors up in my house so that I could look at it every day and it was a hard task to choose 12 photos of the 83 photos that I took.

I found these very cool turquoise frames from Pep stores believe it or not for a steal at R16,99 each. They only had 3 x frames at the first Pep I went to and then I had the shop assistant call other stores to find me 9 x more frames. I had to drive  around to two other stores to get 12 x frames, but it was totally worth it! I found majority of the frames at Pep Home, never knew you get a Pep Home and was pretty stoked to discover it!

Above my lovely sideboard was the perfect place for my frames. I measured and marked the wall where to hang the frames and then used a glue gun to glue it to the wall. This is how it turned out:

Funzies in the Sunzies: My Birthday in the forest at Silvermine

Do you think that as you get older your birthday gets less important? I think so, especially when the important ones are over, like your 18th, 21st and 30th. So after last years elaborate beach party where I celebrated my 30th birthday with a big bang , I felt like a chilled birthday this year. So I tried really hard to not make a lot of effort, but Nats just can't help herself! He he!

Lions Head Picnic Hike - Sunset & Full Moon Rise

Valentines Smelintines. Some think it's a money making story, others like having a day dedicated to express how much they love their partner. I'm with the latter, as I like showing my partner how special they are to me and it's a fantastic excuse to do something fun with them.  I don't like going to a restaurant on V-Day, it's just too cliche and it's usually a let down.  The restaurants are busy and that result in the service being poor and the food being rushed and not up to scratch.

So the boyfriend and I both finished work at 3pm on Friday the 14th, so decided that we should climb up Lions Head and have a picnic up there. It was 33 degrees though which was redicoulisly hot to hike up the mountain. We did it anyway, but I wouldn't recommend it though. Getting up the mountain wasn't very romantic, because I was suffering in the heat.  Once we got to the top, I immediately looked for a shady spot and parked like a Dassie on a rock.

Living it up 4-star style with #SSCullinan

Yesterday afternoon when everyone else was working at desk world, we were drinking champers and eating oysters.  Jodene asked five people to join her on a tour of the Southern Sun Cullinan hotel so that they could show off their amazing-ness!  We weren't complaining.

When we arrived the Sommelier sabraged the champagne bottle. Sabrage is a technique for opening a Champagne bottle with a saber,[1] used for ceremonial occasions. The saber is slid along the body of the bottle to break the entire neck away from the bottle, leaving only the base of the bottle open and ready to pour. The force of the blunt side of the blade hitting the lip breaks the glass to separate the collar from the neck of the bottle. Note that one does not use the 'sharp' side of the blade. The cork and collar remain together after separating from the neck. Source.

With bubbles in hand we went to the poolside where scrumptious oysters and sushi was waiting for us.  The oysters were accompanied with a cream sauce and then also this red sauce that complimented the oysters very well.  I usually only have oysters with Tabasco, salt, pepper and lemon, so this was a refreshing change.

Natsnotfazed Monthly Mixes - Because We Can

Okay so I feel kinda stupid for calling this Natsnotfazed "monthly" mixes when actually it was 6 months ago I shared a mix with you. Apologies!  I'm not going to bore you with the details of what I have been busy with, but in a quick summary: towards the end of the year it was crazy busy, then I went on a road trip to the Transkei and then in the new year I was busy again. Boring!

So my Natsnotfazed Monthly Mix consists of some songs that I have been listening to in January and February it's called: "Because We Can", just because I believe that we can achieve anything we put our minds to.  Here's some inspiring quotes that I found on Pinterest recently, you can follow me on Pinterest here.
